spooky-fy your space

I love Halloween, but EVERY year I start out fully intending to go ‘all in’ on decorations and every year it passes me by, maybe with me just grabbing another pumpkin or 2. So, this year, I’ve started looking at ways to hack Halloween- how can I make my home have a spooky vibe with minimal budget and time investment? Great question- here’s 5 ways I’m doing it.

ghostly furniture

Step 1- Grab a sheet
Step 2- Throw it over furniture
That’s it- it really is that simple and your home gets an eerie ‘shouldn’t be here’ vibe- perfect for spooky season.

carved pumpkins

As a member of Little Karma Co. My house is full of our gorgeous candles, and I’m definitely not putting them into my carved pumpkins so I’ve had another idea- sweet holder pumpkin.

No complicated carving, just hollow out your pumpkin, pop a bowl inside and fill it with sweets. Perfect to put outside your front door for trick or treaters… or on your dining room table if you’re a sweet lover like me!

spooky mirrors

I love this idea- it’s definitely one that all range of art skilled people can join in on.

Get some frosted glass film, draw on and cut out a ghost shape (go as basic or as detailed as you like). Peel, stick to your mirror. Job done.

creepy trees

What can 2 beach balls and a black marker pen give you? The feeling that you’re being watched paired with creepy bush vibes. Definitely something that once people notice it, they’ll replicate themselves.

ice hands

Last but definitely not least- Floating ice hands. Fill a glove with water, seal it and freeze. Remove glove once frozen, and put your floating frozen hand into your spooky beverage of choice.
