A few years ago, Hygge made it big- and we get it! Cosy, hunkering down for winter, self care, feel good vibes- what more do you need? In the UK, we’ve just had our first bout of snow and a very cold snap, so we’re making moves to bring comfort and warmth into
our homes, in more ways than one.
So here’s how to bring Hygge into your home!
1
|
nail down a nook
A little cosy space for you- something cute and tucked away, like the corner of the room, perhaps a bay window, a favourite chair- a designated space for you that is just for feeling cosy and slipping into a slower pace.
2
|
engage and enjoy the heartier side of life
Soups, stews, big warm bowls of goodness, teas, cuddling mugs- it’s all the feels and fully counts as hygge. Do you haven good stew recipes? Please send them out way!

|
layers and textures
The more the merrier- blankets, throws, pillows, rugs, faux fur, thick piled- all of the luxury, all of the warmth, and the ultimate level of softness in your home.

bring the outside in
We can’t get out as often, but there are so many benefits for us to be found in nature, so try incorporating plants, wood and greenery into your home to replicate this open, grounded feeling.
Failing that, light our grounding cedarwood and evergreens candle to bring the outside in to wherever you are.

light up your life
Soft lighting, warm tones, salt lamps (we adore them), and candle galore. Of course, you know us- as many candles as we can fit into one room is about the right amount (in our opinion, but you do you!).
If you’re looking for the perfect way to unwind, enjoy a slower pace and find comfort in the coming winter, we recommend our relaxing Christmas scent with notes of lavender and frankincense.
